Westbriar Math Olympiad (Grades 4-6)
Math Olympiad is a national math competition consisting of 5 monthly Olympiads. In each Olympiad, students have 30 minutes to solve 5 math problems. Students compete as individuals and as a team. Score is cumulative so participants should attend all five Olympiads. There are two divisions. Division E is the elementary school division for students in Grades 4-6. 2019-2020 Division E Olympiad Dates: Tuesdays after school (4:05 - 4:45) unless noted. Students may leave or be collected as soon as they are done. Most students finish in 15 minutes.
1. November 13 (*Wednesday)
2. December 10
3. January 14
4. February 11
5. March 10
Optional practices are Tuesdays after school 4:05-5:05pm from October 15, 2019 - March 10, 2020, except on Olympiad dates. Students work on problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Awards: May 27 after school (*date may change)
